Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 10:30 am–3 am. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Joe's Pizza at (718) 388-2216; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Brooklyn peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I'm always very skeptical about trying pizza and pasta abroad, but given the many positive reviews I gave it a chance: the pizza was really good, made in an electric oven so not burnt, in fact very crispy. We tried the spicy salami and the spinach and mushroom versions, both really good.

The pizza was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The crust had a nice texture, the toppings tasted fresh, and the staff was friendly. I had a great experience and would definitely come back again.

Had to try the classic Joe’s Pizza. Really great service, our late night slices were ready in minutes. Crispy pizza and while the cheese is a classic, also got some slices with extra toppings that delivered flavor. Thin, not too greasy or overloaded with sauce. Ate outside and will definitely go again at this location

Really enjoyed this spot. We kept it simple and just got a basic cheese slice, and that was exactly why it worked so well. Nothing overcomplicated, just a good, classic slice where all the flavours came through clearly. It was a cold evening and there was still snow around, and they had a bench outside where we sat and ate. Being out on a nice street with a hot slice in hand, taking in the neighbourhood and the winter atmosphere, gave it such a great feel. It was one of those simple experiences that just felt very New York. Not quite a 5-star place for me, because that has to be something truly exceptional, but this was definitely above average and a really solid slice. Easy 4 stars.

New York has countless amazing pizzerias, and it’s honestly hard to pick which one truly stands out β€” most of them are consistently good. Some spots become famous because they get featured somewhere, while others stay under the radar despite serving equally great pizza. One of the well-known names in the city is Joe’s Pizza. Their Times Square location always has a huge line because it’s so touristy. The location I visited, in the Bedford area of Brooklyn, was thankfully less chaotic but still busy enough that I had to wait briefly. It’s a very small shop β€” mostly standing space, a counter, and maybe a couple of tiny spots to perch. No real tables. It was a weekend night, so the place was packed, and they were continuously pulling fresh pizzas out of the oven. I ordered a pepperoni slice, my absolute favorite. I took it outside to one of the small tables and ate there. As expected from a classic New York slice, it was excellent β€” big, thin-crust, perfectly baked, great cheese, and plenty of good-quality pepperoni. One slice is filling, but two would easily make a complete dinner for most people. I stuck to just one this time. They also offer Sicilian slices, fresh mozzarella opt
